January is always the busiest month for fitness in the UK, I am sure it is the same in Spain, however living here in this amazing climate is a fitness lovers paradise.

Serendipity Strollers

Serendipity Strollers is a Fun walking group open to everybody which began back in 2012 when they entered a team into the 1st public Mirador challenge. This is now a major Javea sporting event and the Serendipity team are now regular participants.

The event is hosted in April and is a 30 km walk around the coastline of Javea, passing all of the beautiful view points in Javea named Miradores. Check out the Javeamigos website for more info on the event itself.

"We started meeting up on sunday mornings as training walks. The first year we entered we were caught up in the unexpected competitiveness and I personally couldn't walk for 3 days after. Needless to say the following year we decided to take it easy and really enjoyed the walk and all the amazing views.

We continue to meet through the year now. During the summer we meet most Sunday morning’s at 9am for a shorter walk, about an hour long and during the winter we meet at 10am for a mini hike, about 2/3 hours."
